This 2017 bottling has a sweet, fruity nose with notes of Christmas cake, toffee, muted spices, and brown sugar. The taste is thick, rich, and spicy with allspice, a hint of cinnamon, Christmas cake, and a touch of figs in the background for an excellent balance and complexity. The finish is very long with gently fading spices and a good fruitiness. Excellent! (May, 2018)
