Glencadam Origin1825 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Glencadam. This no-age-statement expression was originally bottled for the US market, but is likely to be available elsewhere over time. The nose is malty with soft fruity notes of peaches and pears, ginger root, straw, and touches of honey and figs with a good balance. The taste starts off creamy, then turns spicy with hints of white pepper and cinnamon while remaining smooth and buttery underneath with notes of malt, honey, brown sugar, and oak. The finish is fruity with banana, coconut, lingering spices, and hints of vanilla and oak. (April, 2016)
