Gibson's Finest Venerable. Image courtesy William Grant & Sons. This 18-year-old is the successor to the classic Gibson’s Finest Rare 18 that was a mainstay of Canadian Whisky for many years. The nose is sweet and luscious with fresh berries, honey, and dried flowers. The taste starts off with honey and caramel notes, followed by subtle touches of white pepper and allspice with hints of dried flowers, honey, and vanilla in the background. The finish is long and gentle with a nice balance of fading spices and hints of honey and vanilla. (January, 2019)
