Caol Ila Distiller’s Edition 2011

Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 92 points

Finished in Moscatel casks with a mildly peaty nose, a slight fruitiness and dry with touches of dried flowers, heather, and a hint of nuttiness. The taste is spicy and smoky with a great peaty note and hints of heather, nutmeg, toasted oak, and vanilla. The finish is dry and smoky with green grapes and a subtle spiciness.
