Type: Single Malt
Score: 90 points
This Speyside single malt has rarely been available as an official distillery bottling until Dewar’s created the Last Great Malts of Scotland range in 2014.
The nose is aromatic with notes of bread dough, honey, molasses, dried apricots, banana chips, oak, and a subtle hint of wood smoke. The taste has notes of dark chocolate, honey, a good spicy touch of cinnamon, a hint of brown sugar, caramel candy, and charred oak underneath adding balance. The finish is smooth and lingering with a slight oakiness, dark chocolate, and caramel candy notes. Very nice. (April, 2015)
